The Fountain Garden offers visitors a cool respite during hot summer visits. The centerpiece of this 1.5-acre garden to the north of the Visitor Education Center is an interactive fountain where kids and kids at heart can dip in a finger or a toe or jump in all together. The fountain's cut stone floral design highlights changing water patterns that dance amid a backdrop of colorful plantings. Visitors may enjoy the garden's sparkle and splash from a seating area with views to the lake and the Meadow Pavilion.
Steps leading from the terrace to the garden are accented with a stream that trips and falls along the walkway to add serenity to the scene. Butterfly gardens along either side of the walkway offer areas to explore and observe nature at its best.
