Powell Gardens, Kansas City’s botanical garden, introduces an immersive luncheon experience combining the splendor of nature, the art of living beautifully, and the joy of giving back.  

This premier fundraising event is designed to celebrate and support Powell Gardens, Kansas City’s botanical garden. Featuring renowned artisan and author, Christopher Spitzmiller, the smooth sounds of Eboni Fondren, fashion show with KC Fashion Week, and more, this event is the must-attend of the season.

About Christopher Spitzmiller

Christopher Spitzmiller’s lamps, tableware, and other ceramics are found in every chic A-list interior, including the White House, and are regularly featured in celebrated publications including Architectural Digest and the Wall Street Journal. He is on the board of the Garden Conservancy and the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House. Spitzmiller is the author of “A Year at Clove Brook Farm,” published by Rizzoli New York 2021. 

As part of the Fleur-ette event, Christopher will host a tablescape workshop. Tickets coming soon!*

Experience special guest speaker Christopher Spitzmiller and witness a KC Fashion Week runway presentation where style meets nature, featuring local designers inspired by the beauty and vibrancy of the natural world. Enjoy the captivating vocals of Eboni Fondren, explore a selection of artisan goods in a curated marketplace, and participate in an exclusive tablescape workshop hosted by Spitzmiller.*

About Our Honorary Chairs

Lucy Mayor, a Kansas CIty native, has been working in the interior design industry for over 20 years. After working for George Terbovich for 15 years, she purchased and took over the design firm in 2020. Lucy grew up in Kansas City, went to Shawnee Mission East H.S. and the University of Missouri where she graduated with a degree in Environmental Design. Lucy enjoys traveling, gardening, running and being with her two children, Wyatt (14) and Lyla (11) when she’s not at the office working!  

Allie Sifers is a Kansas City based interior designer who created Wilson Interiors in 2020. Allie received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Denison University with a concentration in Art History. Wilson Interiors is a full-service residential design firm. Wilson Interiors offers high-end interior design service for new construction, renovations, and redecorating. Allie’s designs are classic, comfortable, and timeless. She believes that your house should not only be beautiful, but also functional and a reflection of the client. Allie lives with her husband, two children and dog, Wilson, in Fairway.
