At Powell Gardens, we take pride in researching best practices in hands-on educational programs, paying close attention to the state science standards you as a teacher need to teach so you can offer a memorable learning experience students will enjoy and you can justify. Check out our Pathways in Learning field trips as well as workshops and opportunities just for you!
Pathways in Learning Field Trips
Powell Gardens' Pathways in Learning programs are designed to meet your scheduling needs, whether you can stay one hour or half a day or need a program delivered to you. Now is the time to choose your path!
These one-hour field trips are designed to help your students discover nature. Tailored by grade level, they spark the imagination with activities that make learning science fun. Where applicable, all programs align to current state science standards and Grade Level Expectations. Place us on your field trip list today.
In response to growing concerns of the health of our youth, the Good to Grow initiate was developed by the trained education staff at Powell Gardens. It is a three-hour plant science experience for grades 3 through 5 steeped in promoting healthy choices.
From pond exploration to a behind-the-scenes look at large-scale plant production, our programs tailored to middle and high school students will be both educational and intriguing.
