Under a Blue Moon: Garden Party and Rare Plant Auction takes place June 12, 2016

There's so much to see and do at Powell Gardens! Exhibits in the Conservatory change six times a year and you will find no shortage of programs, performances, drop-in activities, classes and more on our Calendar of Events

In the Conservatory

The conservatory within the Visitor Center offers inspiration and color throughout the year--no matter the weather. Now showing: Out of the Blue: A Spring Butterfly Exhibit. See brilliant Blue Morpho butterflies and graceful Paper Kite butterflies in a tropical rainforest setting now through April 3, 2016.

Festival Fun for All

Booms & Blooms: A patriotic celebration with a dazzling daylily display, inspiring music by the Lee's Summit Symphony and a dramatic fireworks display over the dark country sky.

Festival of Butterflies: An interactive experience with hundreds of tropical butterflies and moths flying freely in our temporary indoor exhibit.

Harvest Celebration & Antique Tractor Show: A celebration of our Midwestern heritage with antique tractors, engines and equipment; old-time crafts, pumpkins, apple cider and more.

GLOW Jack-O-Lantern Festival: More than 700 hand-carved pumpkins light a flickering trail through the Gardens during this spellbinding Halloween experience.
