A 5K Run & Nature Trail Trek

It's our second annual 5K Run/Walk at Powell Gardens! Savor the sights and sounds of nature as you follow the course with views of the lake. After the race, enjoy all-day access to the Gardens and garden-fresh snacks.
An optional non-competitive trail trek on the 3.25-mile Byron Shutz Nature Trail follows the 5K.

Schedule of Events
8 a.m.: 5K run/walk begins
Packet pick up is on site beginning at 7:30 a.m.
9 a.m.-3 p.m.: Activities in the Heartland Harvest Garden. Visit 'Barb the Gardener' for all sorts of interesting tips, how-to information and samples ranging from basil limeade to quinoa salad to blackberry and lavendar jam!
9:30 a.m.: Trail Trek begins
Race entries include all-day admission to the Gardens. If you're bringing your own cheering section, they can pay admission at the gate.
